French food cos making a play for India

French companies are very bullish of their chances in India as was evident at the Aperitif a la francaise organised by Sopexa. Ten of the 17 exhibitors were participating for the first time at the annual event held at the Novotel Juhu Beach, Mumbai.

Food and beverage companies with a French connection included Finewinesnmore, Schott Zwiesel, La Fromagerie Fresh Foods + ORA, Munjral Brothers, Chenab Impex, Sonarys, Blasons de Bourgogne, Val D’Orbieu, Pernod Ricard and Le Cordon Bleu.

In all 450 invitees attended the event. The next one is on June 3, 2010 though the venue and city are yet to be confirmed.

Sopexa is a marketing and communication agency appointed by the French Ministry of Agriculture to promote French agro food products abroad. It does this through promotions in the hotel and retail sectors, staff training and offering consulting services.
