Indage Restaurants & Leisure, the food arm of the Chougules, is growing even as its sister-concern Indage Vintners hit a new low this week.
Integration with Garcia’s Famous Pizza, a predominantly Mumbai pizza chain, is well underway as is the rebranding of the Red Dragon, a Chinese cuisine concept. IRLL bought Garcia’s from Amazon Food & Beverages as part of its inorganic growth plan to have a presence in other cuisines and formats.
IRRL is also believed to be in advanced acquisition talks with another restaurant chain, though the company is keeping mum on this.
The Chougules are taking special care to delink their wine and food businesses to save the latter from getting embroiled in the controversies surrounding the former.
“To clarify, the wine and restaurant businesses are separate and are run by two different entities ‘Indage Vintners Ltd’ for the wine business and ‘Indage Restaurants and Leisure Ltd (IRLL)’ for the F&B business,” said Vickrant Chougule, director at IRLL.
“For IRLL, we are in the process of formulating our strategies for our current and acquired brands,” he added.
IRLL operates resorts and palaces, fine dine and casual restaurants and night clubs and lounges.
