Hansgrohe
Designer brands Hansgrohe AG and Phillippe Starck have created Axor Starck Shower Collection and labelled the modular-structure design as the haute couture in showers.
According to the designers it provides the ultimate freedom for bathroom design and is capable of accommodating an infinite number of personal preferences and requirements through custom solutions.
The modular construction of the system also serves as the basis for the scalability of the shower collection. This allows water consumption to be controlled individually.

Locatel MEA
Locatel is urging hotels to invest in high-definition-enabled technology to prepare themselves for the Middle East receiving HD content in the future.
The company, which has offices dotted around the Middle East, has its own research and development department and works with a wide range of brands, including Philips, Samsung and LG, to offer the latest viewing solutions.
“It could take six months to two years for the region to be able to fully access hi-def channels, but hotels should invest to impress so that when high-definition content comes to this region, properties are ready for it — guests from around the world expect this,” explained Locatel key accounts manager Chester Anaen.

Audipack Middle-East
Dubai-based Audipack has teamed up with Dutch Art Connections to offer a new LCD screen that can be transformed into a guest’s favourite artistic masterpiece at the touch of a button. The LDC flat screen can be replaced with a remote-controlled, pull-down artwork of the customer’s choice when the screen is not in use.
“The modern, space-saving design gives guests the choice of what art is on display and when. There’s no need for guests in luxury hotels to see a blank LCD screen,” explained Dutch Art Connections director Jacqueline Gelkopf-Van Den Berg.
Furthermore, “we’ve seen a growing interest in art in the Middle East during the economic crisis. Art retains its value so hotels are investing more here and worldwide”.
