Pride Hotels has announced its 250 room Mumbai five-star hotel to be built on a two acre plot between Powai and the international airport by 2011.
Pride is taking advantage of the increase in FSI for Mumbai hotels from 2 to 3.5, by redoing the entire layout and reserving 100 rooms for Phase 2 at a later date. The project’s cost is Rs200 crore.
Standout facilities include a conference facility for 2,000 pax and a ‘women’s floor’ with an attached spa and gym.
The Mumbai announcement ties in with the group’s Rs800 crore expansion plan till 2015, reported in the August 2009 issue of the Hotelier India.
Pride launched its Bengaluru property of 100 rooms last week.
