Growing demand for leisure is driving the new hiring requirement

EIH, which owns the Oberoi and Trident hotel brands as well as the super luxury Vilas properties, is considering reopening its hiring, though mainly for its leisure hotels.

Speaking at the HIFI 2010 session on how companies are coping with the slowdown yet keeping their vision for the future, Vikram Oberoi, joint managing director, The Oberoi Group said that the outlook for his leisure hotels looks good and he is considering reopening hiring for this segment.

"We reorganised our manpower last year to meet with the challenges. This year leisure is showing strong recovery signs," he said.
