Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd has reported a net profit of more than doubled in the October-December quarter helped by higher revenues and cost control measures.
The vacation home operator posted a net profit of Rs238.1 million in October-December, compared with Rs88.4 million a year ago.
Total income rose to Rs1.25 billion from Rs906.7 million in the year-ago quarter.
"Good showing on profits is driven not only by revenue growth but also because of our focus on cost control as we have brought down our sales, marketing and other expenses," said Ramesh Ramanathan, managing director, Mahindra Holidays.
The firm also added 4,905 members during the quarter which was a 58% rise from the same period last year.
