The state-owned KTDC Hotels & Resorts is India's best tourism promotion agency in terms of growth rate over the last three years.
The agency posted record performances in turnover, operating profit, net income and payment of taxes over the last three years according to KTDC chariman Cherian Philip.
The turnover and operating profit were to the tune of Rs64 crore and Rs5 crore respectively. The tax outgoing was Rs9 crore while employee cost was Rs21 crore.
The KTDC chairman noted that there was a 42% increase in his employees' salary over the last three years following wage reforms and rise in the dearness allowance.
In addition, KTDC spent a whopping Rs21 crore to renovate its hotels and resorts during this period.
