Something's missing in Indian food: Romance

An excellent forum organised at the Kala Ghoda Festival in Mumbai this week had great food writers such as Vikram Doctor, Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal, Shobha Narayan and Nilanjana Roy agree that Indian food is not only about recipes. Instead, writing in Indian cuisine should be about the passion, romance, history and politics of the cuisine, ingredients and people involved.
