After launching his first European restaurant brand Caperberry in Bengaluru last year, chef Abhijit Saha has come up with another brand Fava, a Mediterranean restaurant, in the city. Launched in the last week of January, the 110-cover restaurant will serve cuisines from Mediterranean Europe, Turkey, Lebanon, North America, and Morocco.

“We thought Bengaluru needs a good Mediterranean restaurant. Also, it is important for us to create different kinds of restaurants, so we decided to open Fava,” said chef Saha who runs these restaurants under Avant Garde Hospitality, which is also into developing and managing restaurants for other owners. The average cost of his restaurants is Rs3-4 crore.

He said his company is going to manage a cafe and sky bar for a lifestyle health club, Zela Light, which is coming up at Residence Road, Bengaluru. The cafe centre will open in this month whereas the sky bar is slated to start operation in the month of May.
