Kapoor is a professional hotelier with over 16 years of experience handling operations, sales and marketing, development, and asset management. A graduate from IHM Pusa, Kapoor joined the ITC-Welcomgroup as a hotel executive trainee.

He has worked with the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, looking after the sales and marketing for over six years. Kapoor was responsible for leading a large sales team in north India to develop business across all hotels in the group.

He had a brief stint with an online hotel trading company before moving to The Imperial, New Delhi as director of strategic planning and director of sales and marketing.
