Colonel Menon has served the Indian Army for over 22 years. His specialisation lay in the field of selection of officer level aspirants for various academies such as National Defence Academy and Officer Training School.

He has been associated with ITC for eight years now. He was part of the pre-opening team for ITC Grand Central Mumbai, and helped set up the property before moving to Bengaluru.
