The chain's 101st hotel in Asia Pacific and third in India opens its doors.

For more than 35 years, Mercure has been the Accor group’s midscale chain of non-standardised hotels. Operating in more than 50 countries, Mercure opened its very first hotel in 1973 and August 2010 saw the opening of the first international hotel in the hill city of Lavasa, located between Mumbai and Pune, in the Sahyadhri mountains in the Western Ghats of India.

This is the third Mercure in India with others being in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Located at a distance of around 90 minutes from Pune, the Mercure at Lavasa boasts 130 rooms and is situated on the banks of the Warasgaon lake.

The rooms feature a contemporary, classic style with sober lines, natural materials and warm tones, all with an emphasis on comfort. The bed has pride of place, festooned with pillows and covered with duvets.
