Lexicon Institute of Hotel Management (Lexicon IHM), Pune, appointed Gurmeet Singh, an extremely senior person in the hospitality industry, as the new principal. Singh brings a rich tapestry of experience, having spent over 30 years in the field of human resources across various prestigious hospitality chains globally. His extensive industry networks and profound knowledge will greatly benefit the students and faculty at Lexicon IHM.
Singh began his career in the army, where he developed a disciplined and dedicated approach to his work. After serving in the armed forces, he transitioned into the hospitality industry, holding leadership roles in the human resources departments of luxury hotel brands like ITC and Marriott International. Notably, he was the first person hired by Marriott International in Mumbai, India, where he quickly established a reputation for setting high standards. With his expertise in talent management and development, Singh will enhance the educational experience at Lexicon IHM, preparing students with the practical skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the fast-paced hospitality industry.
Nasir Shaikh, former CEO of The Lexicon Group of Institutes, regards Singh as both a senior and a mentor. He expressed enthusiasm for this significant new chapter in Lexicon IHM’s journey.
