Mayfair Hotels & Resorts resumes operations with 'The New Normal' SOPs

Mayfair Hotels & Resorts has resumed operations across all its properties in Orissa, with heightened precautionary measures. 

In a bid to assure the guests with safe and hygienic stay expereince, the hotel has elevated its standard operating procedures through their new inititaive - The New Normal - Redefining Luxury.

Talking about the initiative Souvagya Mohapatra, Executive Director of Mayfair Hotels and Resorts said, "We have revisited and completely revamped our Standard Operating Procedures in the wake of coronavirus pandemic to ensure that the safety and well-being of our guests, partners and associates remain at the heart of everything we do. We have upgraded our brand and service standard in readiness to ensure the highest levels of guests safety. In sum, this New Normal approach incorporates the best practices on safety and hygiene in line with directives issued by the Government of Odisha and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India which is designed to keep everyone safe and healthy. The enhanced protocols includes service designs and standards to ensure social distancing, hygiene and safety of guests, partners and associates whilst staying true to their service philosophy of WeCare.

The stringent preautionary measures include disinfection of cars - pre and post transfers, thermal screening of guests entering the premises, contactless check-in & check-out, sanitized key cards & pens, allotment of rooms after the 24-hour cooling period, mandatory use of PPG’s (personal protective gears) for team members. Hand sanitization stations at strategic intersections, sanitization of all supplies entering their premises, ensuring social distancing norms across all the resorts including restaurants, banquet halls and meeting rooms.

Particular emphasis has been given to the cleanliness of the public areas which are being disinfected thrice a day using recommended chemicals. Similarly, all common touchpoints in public areas like door handles, railings, tabletop, and elevator buttons are being sanitized every two hours.

In addition to these measures, the hotel group has also constituted a dedicated Hygiene Task Force which has been mandated to ensure the effective implementation of precautionary measures, monitor the COVID-19 updates by the Health authorities and accordingly ensuring complete compliance to the directives/advisories issued from time to time and also to solicit guest’s feedback on how they can further fortify efforts to their satisfaction.
