Madhya Pradesh Tourism gets awarded in 10 categories at National Tourism Awards, 2019

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board bagged 10 National awards in different categories, at the recently concluded National Tourism Awards, 2019, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the state tourism board was recognised for its excellence across various categories including:

  • Best Adventure state
  • Excellence in Publishing in Foreign Language – Chinese Brochure
  • Best Tourism Promotion Publicity Material- Lonely Planet Pocket Guides by Madhya Pradesh Tourism
  • Best Maintained and Differently Abled Friendly Monument Category - ‘Buddhist Monument at Sanchi’
  • Best Wildlife guide- Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Panna
  • Heritage City- Orchha
  • Best Tourist Friendly Airport - Indore
  • Swachhta Award - Indore
  • Tourist Transport Operator - Radiant Travels
  • Best Heritage Hotel - Deobagh, Gwalior


The National Tourism Awards is annually presented by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, to various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. These awards are presented to State Governments / Union Territories, classified hotels, heritage hotels, approved travel agents, tour operators, tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organizations in recognition of their performance in their respective fields.
