Odisha Tourism crafts special tour packages for its two spots
The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has come up with two special tour packages for its destinations with a view to promote eco-tourism in the state. The tourism department has introduced special day-tour packages for Bhitarakanika and Satkosia region in order to facilitate the visitors who are not willing for night stay. As per reports, the packages have been planned in association with the Forest Department, and the visitors can avail the offer from January 11. Besides, this offer is only valid for Saturdays and Sundays.
Talking about the package an OTDC official said, “The packages have been designed to facilitate tourist not willing for night stay. The package includes transport, food and cruise service at both the destinations with guide services. The tourists will be picked up from various points in Bhubaneswar.”
In terms of cost, the special package for Bhitarakanika on every Saturday will cost a single person INR 1700 while the special package for Satkosia on every Sunday will cost INR 1490 per head. The pick-up time for Bhitarkanika tours, will start at 5:30 am and the trip will conclude at 9 pm every Saturday, whereas the Satkosia tour will begin at 7 am and end at 6 pm every Sunday.
Over the years, Odisha has been coming up with innovative ideas and packages to promote its region as a tourist destination. Recently, OTDC launched the unique Destination Wedding Package, which will be available at six Panthanivas (a chain of hotels) of Rambha, Gopalpur, Chandipur, Puri, Konark, and Barkul. Development work on these places would be started during the first phase.
