Vietnam calling! VietJet to kick off direct flights from New Delhi and Mumbai from May 2020
The flights connects New Delhi and Mumbai to Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, starting May 14, 2020
Indian tourists planning to visit Vietnam have a thing to rejoice! Vietjet has announced that starting this May there would be three direct flights from Mumbai and New Delhi, out of which two are from Mumbai.
The airline recently revealed that it will be launching three new direct routes connecting New Delhi and Mumbai with Vietnam’s three largest hubs - Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Starting May 14, 2020, the airline will commence flight operations on the New Delhi to Da Nang route with a frequency of five flights per week.With this, VietJet will become the operator with the most direct routes between the two countries.
India-Vietnam relations are built on the firm foundation of close cultural, historical, civilizational links and are marked by mutual trust and understanding as well as strong cooperation regionally and internationally. The routes give an opportunity to travellers from both the countries to travel without the hassel of a layover.
The visit of Vietnamese Vice-President Ms. Dang Thai Ngoc Thinh from February 11 to 13 would strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2016 between the two countries.
