With the international tourism sector gradually recovering, Kamat Group has jumpstarted its efforts to relaunch its overseas restaurants. Countries like Vietnam and Sri Lanka in South East Asia have opened their doors to tourists and slowly it is starting in other parts of the world as well.
The Kamat Group, which runs popular vegetarian restaurants in the country, will soon reopen their restaurants in Singapore, Phuket, and Pattaya in Thailand. Kamat Group Chairman Dr. Vikram Kamat told recently.
“We are not only focusing on hygiene but are equally vigilant about the health parameters while cooking,” said Dr. Vikram Kamat, Chairman, of The Kamat Group. He added that the company is keen to make Indian food popular globally. “As the situation improves, we aim to open new restaurants in Europe and elsewhere, not only abroad but also in tourist important cities like Pandharpur, Shirdi, restaurants that were closed during the corona period are now opening.”
Kamat Group also plans to open 27 four-star hotels of the Vits brand. It has also started a special training academy in Maharastra’s Kalyan region. Plans are afoot to open 10 more restaurants as well. The Kamat Group has also received patents for two new kitchen appliances used in food preparation.
