IHCL’s Ginger opens in Coimbatore

The 68-key hotel is located next to the airport, close to key business districts

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the opening of Ginger Coimbatore Airport on Avinashi Road. The hotel embodies the brand’s signature lean luxe philosophy, providing guests with a contemporary and comfortable stay.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President, New Businesses, Hotel Openings, and Corporate Communications, IHCL, said, “Coimbatore’s inclusion as a smart city combined with its robust infrastructure development and improved connectivity is creating a thriving ecosystem for businesses and tourists. With its lean luxe offering, Ginger will cater to the evolving needs of corporate and leisure travellers in the city.”

The 68-key Ginger Coimbatore Airport is conveniently located next to the airport. It is close to key business districts such as Tidel Park, Coddisia Trade Centre, Chil SEZ IT Park, and ThoughtWorks Tech. The hotel features Qmin, the signature all-day diner, The Bar, a well-equipped fitness centre, and a conference room.

Coimbatore has emerged as a major player in IT, education, and healthcare, making it among the fastest-growing tier-two cities in India. Situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats, Coimbatore serves as the perfect gateway to the enchanting Nilgiri Hills. The region’s breathtaking landscapes, colonial charm, and rich biodiversity make it an attractive destination for travellers.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 18 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including two under development.
