It gives me immense pride in receiving the Hotelier India award. This recognition would not have been possible without the seamless practices carried out at Lemon Tree Hotels, the company's vision of becoming an industry leader in offering equal opportunities to a diverse set of people and the constant sup¬port of my team. This award has also recognised Red Fox as a brand under the Lemon Tree umbrella.
Seamless team work, one-on-one engagements, enhancement of decision-making skills, execution and protocols laid down by the manage¬ment have been few key factors behind my win.
Getting recognised by a panel of jury members who are industry leaders is a great source of encouragement. Such awards are a credible testament to one's potential and help in winning the confidence of our seniors, colleagues and team members.
This award further gives me the opportunity to communicate about our best practices, such as hiring differently abled employees, including people who are speech and hearing impaired and orthopedically challenged, or have down syndrome, autism, etc.
My inspirations are two leaders in the industry. The one who inspired me towards operational excellence, Pierre Jochem, a visionary General Manager at The Imperial New Delhi. Patanjali G. Keswani inspired me to become a decisive thinker and helped me to understand my roles and responsibilities from a business perspective.
My achievement is a result of excellent team efforts.
At Lemon Tree, I have been lucky to have a team which is immensely positive and motivated. As a mentor, I ensure that I keep my team in high spirits, recognise them for their contributions towards the growth of the hotel and keep them encouraged and engaged.
In 5 years, I aspire to become a technical expert of the F&B industry in the country.
