Mercure Chennai Sriperumbudur hosts ‘Here,There and Everywhere’ art exhibition

Jitha Karthikeyan curated it to celebrate the hotel’s 4th anniversary

Mercure Chennai Sriperumbudur celebrated its fourth anniversary by hosting the ‘Here,There and Everywhere’ art exhibition curated by Jitha Karthikeyan. Rahul Nama, General Manager of Mercure Chennai Sriperumbudur led the event.

To commemorate the occasion, the hotel organized a multi-sensory experience with art and food, ‘Art Brunch Festival’, where Chef Krishnendu curated authentic Tamil Nadu dishes with a twist. The unique flavours, tangy twist, the sweet infusions and the plethora of spices used in any recipe is a head turner for the most of the vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

The ‘Here, There and Everywhere’ art show throws light on the history of transportation by tracing the concept of mobility. It starts from the Vahanas from ancient Indian mythology to the ancient modes of transportation using animals and log boats upto the technological marvels we see today. Featuring the works of Murali Thrigulla and other artists, it is on from March 5th 2022 till April 5th 2022 at Mercure Chennai Sriperumbudur.

Speaking on the fourth anniversary, Nama said, “This is a significant milestone for us. The last two years had been hard but we believe that the worst is behind us. Despite the disrupted effects of Covid 2nd wave in 2021, we saw recovery trends in the last quarter, start of 2022 has shown significant improvement in our business with continued recovery, we have further renewed ALL SAFE – Accor’s Global hygiene and safety protocols to provide protection for our guests and staff. I would like to thank our guests, teams, partners and everyone who has made this journey worthwhile.
