Warehouse47 introduces HOUSE47—Mumbai’s first high-end, tech-driven immersive and sensorial dining experience. HOUSE47 is founded and co-curated by Aheli Bhattacharya and Anant Roongta, the visionaries behind Warehouse 47, a 360-degree pan-India brand and creative solutions company that blends future technology with a creative vision, offering a unique storytelling experience that aims to revolutionize the boundaries of creativity, storytelling, and innovation in the media and entertainment industry.

HOUSE47 is set to redefine Mumbai’s dining community through its innovative
integration of cutting-edge technology that boosts every aspect of a regular culinary experience. Over two exclusive days at Famous Studios in Mahalakshmi, diners were treated to a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory journey that celebrated the rich culinary
landscape of Mumbai. The experience featured dynamic audio-visual storytelling, with projection mapping bringing the narratives behind each dish to life. State-of-the-art soundscapes and ambient music created an enveloping auditory experience, while sensory elements like mist sprays, windy breezes, and dry ice smoke added drama and immersion along with the immersive lighting that enhanced the mood throughout the dining journey.

‘A Culinary Journey of Mumbai’ showcased a specially curated six-course menu by acclaimed Chef Ali Akbar Baldiwala from Slink & Bardot. Each dish paid homage to the diverse culinary traditions of the city, drawing inspiration from iconic neighbourhoods and beloved local flavours.

Guests were treated to a series of standout dishes, such as Rasam Gazpacho, a refreshing blend featuring crab, heirloom tomato salad, crispy rice, and aromatic curry leaf oil; Avocado Toast, miso caramel sourdough topped with creamy avocado, whipped paneer, chili crisp with the distinctive flavour of Belper Knolle cheese; Bombil Fry, rawa-fried bombil paired with the tangy flavours of gondharaj thecha, smoked tomato jam, and java salsa; bun maska, a sumptuous morel and duck ragu served on a brioche bun, accompanied by soy-cured egg yolk and rich brown butter foam; Mutton Raan, a flavourful offering of mutton raan or jackfruit barbacoa, served with soft flour tortillas and roasted jalapeno salsa; and Falooda, a decadent dessert featuring pistachio gelato, shaved ice, rose syrup, poached plums, and basil seeds, providing a refreshing finish to the meal.

With an intimate seating capacity of just 40, HOUSE47 ensured that every guest received a personalized and unforgettable dining experience. Priced at INR 20,000 for diners, the 90-120 minute journey was not only a feast for the palate but also an exploration of Mumbai’s rich cultural tapestry with tech immersion.

Well-known personalities such as Kirti Kulhari, Bosco Martis, Manav Manglani, Ritik Bhasin also joined in celebrating this unique blend of creativity, storytelling, and
innovation in the culinary world. The dinner featured an integration with a renowned tequila brand, distributed solely in India by Berry Beverages. The integration offered guests a beautiful pairing of mixology and food, bringing a unique cultural twist to the palette.

“As HOUSE47 comes to a close, we reflect on the success of this pioneering event that has set a new standard for immersive dining experiences in Mumbai,” said Anant Roongta, founder of HOUSE47. He shared, “With ‘A Culinary Journey of Mumbai,’ we wanted to create something that goes beyond just tasting the city’s iconic flavours—it’s about immersing our guests in the very essence of Mumbai’s vibrant food culture. By blending culinary artistry with a legendary venue and immersive technology, we’ve crafted an experience that not only delights the palate but also tells the stories of the neighbourhoods, streets, and people that make this city so special.”
