HPMF launches Middle East Chapter in Dubai
Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) marked its global foray by launching the Middle East chapter at Dubai. A delegation of over 55 hospitality professionals from across Middle East gathered for the launch at Ibis One Central, Dubai.

HPMF’s Middle East Chapter’s will be presided by Bhanu Pratap Singh, of Atlantis Hotel, Dubai and Zahid Aslam of Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas Abu Dhabi. Its council members include Sekar Selvaraj of Sekars Hospitality, Vinod Dermal of Hyatt Hotels, Ram Kishore Yadav of Oberoi Hotels, Ventakesh of Taj Hotels, Devendra Tiwari of Gossip, Rajeev of Atlantis Hotel and Chandrashekhar of Dukes Palm.
Mohan Deshpande, chairman, HPMF presided over the event, while Shaikh Ahmed Al Habbai, chairman of Al Habbai International was the guest of honour. Thomas Payne, director, US High Bush Blueberry Council, Juan Esteban Sanchez, Director Procolombia and Dinesh Shinde, MD of Anusaya Fresh Fruits and Veg were the other dignitaries present.
After welcoming the attendees, Deshpande elaborated the importance of networking and collaboration and said, “Purchasing managers are an integral part of the industry and need to understand and showcase their value.”
Nitin Nagrale, founder and general secretary of HPMF took the audience through the association’s journey of HPMF and explained its objectives and vision. He said, “Purchasing is an integral part of any organisation and our forum aims to bring the world closer by networking and collaborating.”
Sanjay Goyal, vice chairman, HPMF added, “Network is our Networth and every purchase manager must consider that as their biggest tool for success.”
