Jaypee Greens Golf Course wins national award

Jaypee Greens Golf Course, Greater Noida has been awarded as ‘Best Tourism Friendly Golf Course’ at the National Tourism Award 2009-10 by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The chief guest for the evening, Meira Kumar, Honourable Speaker, Lok Sabha, along with Subodh Kant Sahai, Honourable Minister for Tourism, Government of India and Priyanka Chopra, the guest of honour were present for the felicitation.

Jaypee Greens Golf Course, country’s first Greg Norman signature championship course has been honoured with the award for providing best golf facilities in a lush green environment. The course is an 18-hole championship layout and features an exclusive clubhouse Boomerang and a golf academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Manju Sharma, Director, Jaypee Hotels said, “We are truly honoured with this recognition by the Ministry of Tourism. This stands testimony to Jaypee’s vision of providing the finest facilities to discerning customers on its luxurious landscapes. Every year Ministry of Tourism presents this award along with other categories to state governments, heritage hotels and Travel Agents/Tour Operators, for their performance in the respective fields. The aim of these awards is to encourage healthy competition and to promote tourism.
