News, Front of House

Aside from the 14 award categories that celebrated the different roles in the hotel industry, the Hotelier India Awards 2010 also saw industry leader Nakul Anand honoured with The Hall of Fame award in recognition of ITC’s leadership role in Indian hospitality. As one of the pioneers in this space, ITC has been instrumental in setting best practices for not only India but the world.

As the CEO of ITC Hotels Division Nakul Anand has led several such practices whether it is to do with team building, spectacular standards of service and hospitality, environmental friendly practices right from design to day to day operations at the properties, or creating structured spaces with setting service benchmarks worthy of luxury across segments. Whether it is establishing ITC as a hotel group synonymous with the best in the world by astute marketing, or creating employee leaders by applying service standards within as well as without, or sustainability, Nakul Anand is truly deserving of the Hall of Fame award.

Since Anand was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to a board meeting in Kolkata, he sent a special video message on receiving the award. Dipak Haksar, ITC Chief Operating Officer accepted the award on Anand’s behalf.
