JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa appoints Wilbur Tauro as director of food & beverage
Wilbur brings more than 10 years of experience to the role
Wilbur Tauro, the new Director of Food and Beverage at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, will spearhead the culinary & beverage department and take on this leadership position with an aim to uphold the standard of F&B excellence that the hotel is known for.
Wilbur will lead the culinary team’s overall operations, increase profitability in all outlets, systematically review and introduce new menu options. The already popular Unique dining experiences in the resort will be elevated. His journey includes a spectrum of business, luxury and resort portfolios. He has demonstrated several skills including the creation & execution of F&B strategies, deployment of profitable business and troubleshooting operations with the belief Less is more.

Wilbur holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Communications from N.L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management Catering Technology & Tourism Management. Wilbur’s career has seen him swiftly climb the ladder through diligence and attention to detail. He started his career as an F&B attendant at Sahara Star Mumbai and then onto The Westin Garden City Mumbai, where he worked his way up to Assistant Restaurant Manager. A career defining move to Grand Hyatt, Mumbai with hands on experience in handling Specialty Italian & Chinese restaurant, nightclub and banquets opened multiple avenues. While working as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Grand Hyatt, Goa he served as a Task force specialist in Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty (pre-opening).Prior to his appointment at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, he served as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at the Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences, Bengaluru opening the finest luxury hotel in India.
