Lemon Tree Hotels announced its latest signing – Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, Bihar. The property, which will be franchised by Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, is expected to open in FY25.
Motihari is situated in the eastern part of the Indian state of Bihar, near the Nepal border. It is part of the Champaran region, historically significant for being the place where Mahatma Gandhi launched his first Satyagraha (non-violent resistance) movement in India. Apart from its historical significance, Motihari and its surrounding areas may have other local attractions and landmarks that draw tourists and visitors. The economy of Motihari is largely agrarian, with agriculture being the primary source of livelihood for the majority of the population. The region produces crops like rice, sugarcane, and various fruits and vegetables.
Lemon Tree Hotel, Motihari, Bihar will feature 50 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, a fitness center, a lounge, a banquet hall, a meeting room, a swimming pool, a bar, a spa and other public areas.
The Lok Nayak Jayprakash Airport, Patna is about 154 kms away, while the Bapudham Motihari Railway Station is just about three kms away from the hotel. The hotel is also well connected by roadways for both public and private transport.
