Courtyard by Marriott Madurai has taken a significant step towards promoting green travel and reducing carbon footprint with the inauguration of its first Charge Zone electric charging station. This reinforces Marriott International’s unwavering commitment to sustainable operations.

India is experiencing a widespread adoption of electric vehicles, supported by the government’s revised Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicle-II (FAME II) scheme. Courtyard by Marriott Madurai is proud to contribute to this movement by ensuring a smooth recharge experience for today’s eco-conscious travelers.

JP Menon, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Madurai, stated, “Through this initiative, we aim not only to attract more guests but also to establish our brand as a sustainability leader. CHARGE ZONE, our state-of-the-art fast charging station, has been installed on our property, specifically designed to efficiently charge two electric vehicles simultaneously from 0% to 80% within an impressive 45-60 minutes.”

The Charge Zone fast charger is compatible with all four-wheel electric vehicles available in India. It is open to the public and accessible 24/7, further supporting the wider community’s transition to electric mobility.
