IHCL expands in Dehradun with the signing of a Taj

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, announced the signing of a Taj branded hotel in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The hotel is a Brownfield project.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Development, IHCL, said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in key commercial and leisure destinations in India. Dehradun with is its thriving tourism is also a major hub for education and software industries and is slated to grow in the coming years. We are delighted to announce our partnership with La Roche Hotels & Resorts for the development of this hotel.”

The 215-key hotel is strategically located off Rajpur Road connecting Dehradun to Mussorie and is close to commercial areas within the city and tourist attractions around it. The array of facilities will include an all-day diner, a specialty restaurant, a bar and a lobby lounge. The hotel will be equipped with over 8,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space along with pre-function area and meeting rooms. The recreational facilities will include a spa, swimming pool and a fitness centre.
