Sans Souci, the Czech Republic designer brand is well-known globally for their decorative lighting fixtures, glass objects and architectural features. Their bespoke creations which marry glass and light have adorned luxurious villas, hotels, commercial buildings and many other high-profile spaces all around the world.
Sans Souci’s latest feather in the hat are the chandeliers and wall scones they developed for the second Ritz-Carlton hotel in India. Situated in the heart of Pune, the architecturally striking Ritz-Carlton Pune masters the art of luxury by drawing on India’s heritage of elegance. The hotel’s design reflects a seamless union of classical grandeur and timeless sophistication, offering both traditional and modern points of view.
Similar to all the other projects they’ve worked on Sans Souci for the Ritz-Carlton Pune also worked closely with the hotel’s design team to understand their visions, wishes and requirements. Sans Souci’s final creations therefore reflects modern designs of Ritz Carlton Pune with timeless luxury through its classic chandeliers, exquisite finishes and refined lighting. Details are designed to underline elegant features of each chandelier and not to disturb perfect architecture of the hotel.

In the lobby
On the spotlight of the lobby sparkles a monumental chandelier crafted from hand blown crystal grindled glass and 45,000 crystal-cut trimmings. It has a polished brass metal finished structure, and used 160 LEDs for its light source. This spectacular chandelier weighs more than 1,500 kilograms.
In the ballroom
Another outstanding creation (and more than one), can be found in the ballroom. Each chandelier here is made from 31,000 pieces of crystal pearls and 58 pieces of hand blown crystals shaped like leaves. These lovely leaves are further enhanced by rendering a soda-effect and optical patterns on them. The chandeliers are held on a metal structure finished in nickel-plated brass.,
In the pre-function areas
A bevy of chandeliers — in two distinct designs — made from handblown crystal grinded components and crystal cutted trimmings feature on the ceiling of the pre-function areas. These beauties have a nickel-plated brass finish and are equipped with 24 lamps.
In the junior ballroom
The jewel gracing the junior ballroom is a chandelier made from 139 pieces of hand-blown crystal glass horns with intricate silvered optical patterns fastened on a polished stainless-steel arrangement. The wall scones designed by Sans Souci brings glamour and elegance to the junior ball room. Made from hand-blown crystal components with optical patterns, it is structured on a polished stainless-steel frame.
All the lighting fixtures which were tailor-made for The Ritz-Carlton Pune project took 80 days to complete. The installations took 30 days to finish; and eight people were arranged to work on the final stages of execution.
