The St. Regis Mumbai announces the appointment of Sachin Mylavarapu as Hotel Manager at The St.Regis Mumbai. Sachin joined as EAM Food & Beverage of India’s first St. Regis in May 2015 and has since been an integral part of the successful launch of the brand in India. He played an important and vital role in positioning the iconic brand as ‘The Best Address’ and as market leader in revenue & reputation over the last 3 years. His deep understanding of the brand in the existing market environment and his display of strategic operational expertise has led to the elevation and advancement of his position as Hotel Manager of The St. Regis Mumbai.
During his tenure as EAM – Food and Beverage at The St. Regis Mumbai, Sachin played a critical role in the conversion and integration by launching various initiatives to lead the team to top the guest voice scores in food quality and ITR. The Food and Beverage team has won 21 industry awards in the last three years and is the preferred venue for high-profile events and unique dining experiences.
Sachin graduated from IHM Hyderabad and has a Masters in Hospitality Administration and Revenue Management from Cesar Ritz, Brig in Switzerland. With over 17 years of hospitality experience, spread across Asia, Europe and the United States; Sachin brings to his new role, a wealth of creativity, knowledge and business acumen coupled with dedication and commitment.
Having been with the organization for the last 9 years, he has honed his skill with his preceding roles as Assistant Director Food & Beverage at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace and subsequently Director Food & Beverage at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. His journey over these last few years has paved the way for his recent success at The St. Regis Mumbai.
Sachin’s strong culinary operational skills have fueled his objective to be “innovating and performing by empowering a situation or an idea”. His experience in different parts of the globe, allows him to excel at being able to adapt and progress in this ever-evolving industry. Sachin has been known to drive revenues, manage large teams, build innovative cost effective strategies and enhance guest experience, making him one of the finest players in the business.
Well recognized, his achievements include winning the ‘F&B Leader of the Year 2014’ at the Starwood Asia Pacific Regional Vice President Award as well as being nominated for the same title in 2013 at the Hotelier India Awards. He has introduced and reinforced recognition programs to combat attrition and enhanced the associate satisfaction scores resulting in increased productivity of the food and beverage teams in Bangkok, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
