Sahara star nominated for award
At the recently held global annual conference in Beijing, WORLDHOTELS announced the nominations for the WORLDHOTELS Global Annual Awards 2010 and Hotel Sahara Star has been nominated in the category of Best Revenue Impact Hotel amongst 450 properties in 250 destinations across 65 countries worldwide.
WORLDHOTELS is an exclusive collection of the world’s most unique independent hotels. Under the banner “Unique Hotels for Unique People”, it now has almost 500 affiliate properties in more than 300 destinations and 70 countries worldwide.
The hotel surpassed all expectations and fulfilled the requirements in the category of Best Revenue Impact property. With this nomination the hotel has achieved global recognition once again and while utilising the various channels of distribution optimally. Sahara Star has time and again achieved increasing revenue year over year, via all channels of distribution while servicing both leisure and corporate clients. Thus leaving no stone unturned and ensuring strategic use of Revenue Management techniques and resourcefully using Consortia engagement, OTA tactical strategies and rightly engaging Global Sales teams and PRO teams, the hotel has completed the overall strategy which has reflected in the final revenue results.
The criteria for the nomination included Best revenue increases via the Central Reservations System – Gateway. Best overall use of all tools and channels of distribution inclusive of GDS, Voice, direct connect and Resmaster. Sahara Star has been nominated for Best Revenue Impact Hotel among a number of countries worldwide.
