Tamarind Global hosts annual celebration with hoteliers

Tamarind Global, a destination management company, recently hosted its annual celebratory bash, which saw the attendance of leading hoteliers of India. The gathering, held at Jade Garden, Mumbai, saw live entertainment delivered by a two-piece band led by Sunita and Michael, who belted pop and rock songs from the 70’s and 80’s. The musical highlight of the evening was a performance by Rahul Vaidya and an activity where guests lip synced to select songs.








The event saw the participation key hoteliers including senior members of Taj Hotels Palaces and Resorts, like its SVP, operations, West, Farhat Jamal; global VP, sales, Renu Basu; CRO, Chinmai Sharma; GM for Taj Mahal, Mumbai and area director, Mumbai, Taljinder Singh; GM for Vivanta by Taj President, Ashrafi Matcheswala and GM for Taj Santa Cruz, Pankaj Sampat.

Members from the Marriott International team included John Toomey, VP, sales and distribution, Asia Pacific, Neeraj Govil, Area VP, South Asia; Anuraag Bhatnagar, multi-property VP, luxury and Nicholas Dumbell, GM of Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel.

ITC Hotels was represented by Manish Tolani, head of sales, Abinash Manghani, area manager and head of travel, Kerman Lalkaka, GM of ITC Grand Central and Kuldeep Bhartee, GM of ITC Maratha. From Oberoi Hotels & Resorts Devendra Bharma, executive VP and David Mathews, general manager, Trident Bandra Kurla were present. Hyatt Hotels’ Shaista Khan, regional VP Sales and Vinita Khar, director, sales and marketing, Park Hyatt, Goa were seen mingling with the guests as were Anil Kaul, SVP and Deepak Khullar, VP, sales and marketing of Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts.
