The Leela Palace New Delhi recently announced the appointment of Shimomura Kazuya as the new Head Chef of modern Japanese restaurant Megu. In his new role, Shimomura will head the Megu team and elevate the modern Japanese dining experience further. Chef Shimomura brings with him twenty six years of rich culinary experience and is all set to bring exquisite technique and perfectly balanced flavours to the diners at Megu. 

He has created an inimitable repertoire by working in globally recognised kitchens of Hinokizaka at Ritz Carlton Tokyo and in the Michelin starred restaurant Mizumi at Wynn Macau. In his initial years, Shimomura mastered the art of Tempura and acquired the skill of curating Kaiseki –a sought-after traditional multi-course Japanese style dinner.
