Mazi Café opens its doors in Santacruz

A coffee-forward cafe, which is the creation of Shashank Kadam and Shonali Kewalramani and Gaurav Golechha, under the banner of Savoryspires Hospitality Private Limited

The name ‘Mazi’, meaning ‘coming together’ in Greek, sums up the essence of the cafe—a place designed to foster connections, celebrate moments, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures together.  Mazi’s interiors are adorned in soothing whites, creams, and rich browns, giving a relaxing vibe to the atmosphere, along with wooden finishes and pretty planters that add a touch of earthiness to the surroundings. Whether it’s a casual meeting, a romantic date, or a lively hangout with friends, the ambience at Mazi complements every occasion. As a coffee-forward destination, Mazi promises an exceptional coffee experience that perfectly complements its diverse menu.

Mazi is the brainchild of Shashank Kadam and Shonali Kewalramani, with the guidance of financial advisor and business incubator Gaurav Golechha, under the banner of Savoryspires Hospitality Private Limited. Mazi was born with a shared vision to create a space where every visit feels like coming home. The cafe offers a menu that seamlessly blends global flavours with local hospitality. From perfectly brewed coffees to handcrafted cocktails, each beverage complements the diverse flavours of the food menu, ensuring a harmonious dining experience.

Mazi’s menu offers an eclectic mix, featuring dishes like the Forest Mushroom & Cheese Quiche, the refreshing Watermelon Feta Salad, or the flavorful Mediterranean Mezze Platter. The cafe also has sumptuous burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and a selection of wraps bursting with flavour and freshness. As a coffee-forward cafe, Mazi boasts an extensive coffee selection featuring classics like espresso, americano, and latte, alongside innovative creations like Coffee Blast Boba and Moonlight Lavender Brew. Tea enthusiasts can indulge in a selection of premium teas, including Green Tea, Earl Grey, and Moroccan Mint, while speciality beverages like Red Velvet Cappuccino and Mazi’s Irish Latte promise a truly indulgent experience.

“Mazi is not just a cafe; it’s a destination where food and friendship come together. Our menu is a celebration of diversity. From hearty breakfast options to indulgent treats, wholesome favourites, and exotic mains, there’s something for every palate at Mazi. Every visit to Mazi is a reminder that life’s best moments are those spent together, with food, friends, and laughter at the table,” concludes Shashank Kadam, Managing Director at Mazi. “We invite you to join us at Mazi, where every meal is an opportunity to gather, celebrate, and feel at home.”
