Chaayos inaugurates 200th cafe in Bangalore

The brand is on course to add 100 more Cafes by end 2022

Chaayos, announced the opening of its 200th cafe in the Jayanagar neighborhood of Bangalore today. The 200th cafe is a corner facing one with indoor and patio seating for guests. Chaayos was founded in 2012 by Nitin Saluja and Raghav Verma with the mission to serve the world its 2 cups of daily chai and snacks. Chaayos currently runs 200 cafes across 6 cities and plans to add 100 more by the end of 2022. In the past 1 year, Chaayos has expanded to Pune and Chennai.

  • Fresh Food – Unlike other cafes with a food display, Chaayos makes all their food fresh and thus enables higher food consumption by guests
  • Hot Chai Delivery – Chaayos proprietary delivery technology keeps the chai piping hot for 60 minutes, thereby enabling guests to order from their homes and offices.

Personalised guest experience – AI platform enables a seamless guest experience. For instance, facial recognition software enables faster checkouts and payments. The product recommendation algorithm guides guests through a journey of product trials carefully curated for them. The platform also powers Chaayos loyalty program which rewards guests upon their repeat visits with real time offers. Chaayos two-click ordering mobile application is the preferred mode of ordering for 52% of Chaayos  regular guests. 

The resultant customer love that Chaayos generates is evident through a world-class NPS score of 78. 

Earlier this month, Chaayos also made 4 significant additions to its already strong line up of products – Chaayos has introduced new snacks in their menu such as Kesar Chai, Anda paratha, Podi idli, Dhokla chaat, and Veg and Chicken Puffs. These new products further strengthen the Breakfast and evening snacks portfolio that Chaayos is popular for.

Nitin Saluja said “We have significantly scaled over the past 2 years. The delivery business is currently 4X that of pre-covid numbers with the dine-in business having gone back to pre-covid levels. In addition, the repeat frequency of orders has gone up 20% since 2020.”
